OnMilwaukee.com's 2008 Holiday Wishlist
Good intentions are easy to come by -- but difficult to act on -- especially during the busy holiday season.
To help you act on your good intentions this year, OnMilwaukee put out an open invitation to all area 501 (c) (3) non-profit organizations to send us their holiday "wish list" - the items that would help these organizations serve our neighbors better in 2008.
Below you will find a list for each non-profit agency who responded to our request for a wish list for the year. You will find items needed from crayons to two draft horses. The organizations are listed alphabetically, so please scroll to the bottom and find an organization that you may be able to help.
It is up to you to contact the agency for the donation, OnMilwaukee.com is not able to accept donations on behalf of any agency. Each agency's contact information is included for your use.
The agencies would prefer new items, but slightly used items like tools, etc. may be welcomed, but you should check with the agency before donating. Thank you.

- 1. As the HOLIDAY SEASON approaches…
do you have any BEANIE BABIES, DOLLS, TOYS, or STUFFED ANIMALS
that you want to share with kids in Iraq & Afghanistan?
Over the past few years, the MSOE community has shown their support for our troops by sending care packages to those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have also been sending large community care packages to the kids in these two countries. We have American troops and volunteers in Iraq & Afghanistan who are willing to distribute these items to the kids within the local schools and communities they work with.
- 2. How you can HELP! We ask that you go through your personal items here or at home and look for things that you are willing to part with. We are seeking the following items for the kids and their schools.- school supplies (pens, pencils, pads of paper, notebooks – we even had companies that were getting rid of their old stationary donate their old paper to us for the schools along with pens and pencils with their company logos...the pens don’t all have to be the same…they just have to work).
- 3. - beanie babies (not sure what to do with those collectibles…the kids in Iraq & Afghanistan will give them a home – we sent over some large boxes of beanie babies in the summer and we were told that hundreds of kids lined up to get one.)
- 4. - soccer balls and/or soccer items (the kids love the game and we have been asked to send soccer balls, ball pumps, needles, even soccer clothing – we had some old soccer jerseys even donated that the kids loved.)
- 5. - small toys and fun things (the kids went crazy for sidewalk chalk, blow bubbles, necklaces and crayons)
- dolls & stuffed animals (who doesn’t like stuffed animals)
