  • 1. As the HOLIDAY SEASON approaches… do you have any BEANIE BABIES, DOLLS, TOYS, or STUFFED ANIMALS that you want to share with kids in Iraq & Afghanistan? Over the past few years, the MSOE community has shown their support for our troops by sending care packages to those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have also been sending large community care packages to the kids in these two countries. We have American troops and volunteers in Iraq & Afghanistan who are willing to distribute these items to the kids within the local schools and communities they work with.
  • 2. How you can HELP! We ask that you go through your personal items here or at home and look for things that you are willing to part with. We are seeking the following items for the kids and their schools.- school supplies (pens, pencils, pads of paper, notebooks – we even had companies that were getting rid of their old stationary donate their old paper to us for the schools along with pens and pencils with their company logos...the pens don’t all have to be the same…they just have to work).
  • 3. - beanie babies (not sure what to do with those collectibles…the kids in Iraq & Afghanistan will give them a home – we sent over some large boxes of beanie babies in the summer and we were told that hundreds of kids lined up to get one.)
  • 4. - soccer balls and/or soccer items (the kids love the game and we have been asked to send soccer balls, ball pumps, needles, even soccer clothing – we had some old soccer jerseys even donated that the kids loved.)
  • 5. - small toys and fun things (the kids went crazy for sidewalk chalk, blow bubbles, necklaces and crayons) - dolls & stuffed animals (who doesn’t like stuffed animals)
