The Milwaukee County Zoo is considered among the finest in the country. It is situated on 200 wooded acres and is home to approximately 2,500 animals, representing 300 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and invertebrates.

The Milwaukee County Zoo hosts more than 20 special events each year including celebrations at Easter, Halloween and the holiday season.

Open 365 days a year, the Zoo is not be be missed, it's the wildest place in town!

2008 MDA Walk With The Animals

MDA Client Families and Friends join together to walk to raise money to fund Muscular Dystrophy programming and research. Following the walk you can enjoy carnival games, food, entertainment, and the zoo!.

All proceeds benefit local services and programs in Southeastern Wisconsin including our annual MDA Summer Camp!

This is a fun 5K walk through the Zoo. Pledges are encouraged, but not mandatory. Raise $75 in pledges and receive an official event T-shirt! Please email semons@mdausa.org or call 414.431.0154 for more information.

Great Strides Milwaukee

Great Strides: Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest national fund-raising event. Tens of thousands of co-workers, friends and family come together each year as one community for one cause…to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Registration for Great Strides Milwaukee opens at 9:30am, with the walk beginning at 11:00am. Lunch and entertainment will follow.

Sting Ray & Shark Reef Exhibits

We welcome back one of our most popular exhibits - interactive sting rays and sharks - for a return engagement! Several species of these harmless animals will be on display for visitors to touch and feed.
