Goodbye Four Points, hello (again) Wyndham.
The Four Points by Sheraton Milwaukee Airport will become Wyndham Milwaukee Airport Hotel & Convention Center on Saturday, Sept. 28.
This marks a return to Milwaukee for the Wyndham brand, which left Downtown when Marcus Corporation converted the former Wyndham Milwaukee to an InterContinental last year.
The soon-to-be Wyndham Milwaukee Airport has 508 guest rooms, and more than 55,000 sq. ft. of meeting, banquet and convention hall space. The property has the most square footage of banquet and meeting space of any Wisconsin hotel.
Cindy Cox Olcott, president of Horizon Hotels Limited of Eatontown, N.J., the property's management company for the past ten years said, "The Wyndham brand is a great fit for this hotel, because it has the comfortable accommodations, full-service amenities, and expansive convention facilities that you expect to find in a Wyndham property. As part of a world-renowned hospitality company, we have a great opportunity to better serve our clientele including businesses, travelers, and the local community. We love the Milwaukee market and see great potential here."
As part of the Wyndham conversion, the property will undergo a complete renovation over the next two years. All guest rooms will be updated, hallways and thoroughfares will be redecorated, and all meeting, banquet and convention space will be completely refurbished.
