The Indoor Pools
Milwaukee County offers two indoor pools for year-round swimming. Locker rooms, private showers and even hair dryers are provided at these facilities, which may also be rented for pool parties. Admission rates (include a 5.6 percent sales tax) are $2.75 for adults, $2 for ages 12-17 and $1.50 for ages 3-11. Passes --good for 12 admissions-- are $25 for adults and $15 for kids. Either water exercise or lap swim session classes are $3. Token-operated lockers are available for 55 cents at Noyes and 50 cents at Pulaski.

Weekdays
Water Exercise: 9-10 a.m., 10-11 a.m., noon-1 p.m., 6-7 p.m., 7-8 p.m.
Lap Swim: 9-11 a.m., noon-1 p.m., 6-9 p.m.
Open Swim: 1-5:45 p.m.

Weekends and Holidays

Lap Swim: noon-1 p.m.
Swimming Lessons: Saturday 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Open Swim: 1-5 p.m.

Summer Hours (June 14 - Sept. 1, 2008)

Weekdays
Water Exercise & Lap Swim: 9-10 a.m., 10-11 a.m., 6-7 p.m., 7-8 p.m.
Swimming Lessons: 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Open Swim: 12:30-5 p.m.

Weekends and Holidays

Lap Swim: noon-1pm
Swimming Lessons: Sat. 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Open Swim: 1-5 p.m.

The Milwaukee County Parks Department has an excellent Web site providing more complete information about county pools, parks, golf courses, tennis courts, horticultural conservatories... you name it, it's there. You can check out the Web site at countyparks.com. Also, many times pools have extended summer hours. Call your local pool for details or use the 24-hour Pool Hotline at (414) 645-4806.
