Milwaukee has been chosen as one of 15 cities to host a visit from the U.S. Navy this summer.

Navy Week will give Milwaukeeans the chance to meet sailors, learn about the Navy and view Navy ships as part of the bicentennial commemoration of the War of 1812 and "The Star Spangled Banner."

The week will also include Navy Band musical performances; a chance to see the "Leap Frogs," the Navy's parachute team; a Navy simulator and other interactive displays; community service projects with local sports franchises and other special events.
