The Brewers are Milwaukee's major league baseball team. They moved to the city in 1970 after one year as the Seattle Pilots, taking up residency at Milwaukee County Stadium. In 2001, the team moved into Miller Park, a retractable roof stadium that was paid for with a mix of public and private money.
The team hasn't won a World Series -- yet -- but came close in 1982, losing in seven games to the Cardinals. In 2005, they posted their first-non losing record since '92.
The Brewers are owned by a group led by California investor Mark Attanasio. Previously, they were owned by Wendy Selig-Prieb, the daughter of original owner and now Commissioner of Baseball Bug Selig.
