Hurling, the fastest game on grass and the national sport of Ireland, first came to Milwaukee in 1996. It's similar to soccer and field hockey. Players use a curved stick to hit, pass, pick up and carry the ball along the field of play.
The club begins play in May and the season continues through August. Games are played at Veterans Park on Sundays. For more information, visit www.hurling.net.
