The University of Wisconsin has accepted an invitation to face Florida State in the Champs Sports Bowl Dec. 27 in Orlando.

The Badgers (7-5), who make their fifth consecutive bowl appearance in the Sunshine State and third trip to Orlando in four years, square off against legendary coach Bobby Bowden and the Seminoles at 3:30 p.m. in a game televised on ESPN.

Wisconsin is appearing in its seventh straight bowl game, the longest streak in school history and second-longest active streak in the Big Ten behind Ohio State.

The Badgers won four of their last five games, but the victories came after a devastating four-game losing streak in the middle of the season that featured wrenching losses at Michigan, against Ohio State and Penn State and at Iowa.

Wisconsin also drew interest from the Insight Bowl in Phoenix. Florida State was considered for the Gator Bowl, but organizers chose Clemson instead.
