Some notes from Miller Park, where the Phillies and Brewers are holding workouts in advance of Game 3 of the National League Division Series. The first pitch is slated for 5:37 p.m. Saturday.

The big news today is that Brewers announcer Bob Uecker will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game.

In other news...

Parking: Miller Park lots will open at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The Brewers have arranged for overflow parking for fans with game tickets only at Wisconsin State Fair Park for all post-season home games. Fans may use the 84th Street exit from I-94, where they will be greeted by signage and staff. Buses will offer service to and from Miller Park before and after the game. A $10 fee will cover vehicle parking; shuttle services are free. Shuttle services are scheduled to begin two hours before the first pitch and will run until approximately one hour after the game. Buses will pick up in the drop-off location, which will be located on the grounds of the Milwaukee VA Hospital directly southwest of Miller Park. Please tune in to AM 1180 for updated information.

Gates: The gates will open at 3:30 p.m.

Swag: All fans entering the game Saturday will receive a white rally towel and a voucher redeemable for a 2008 Brewers special edition DVD, which will include 30 minutes of season highlights plus game action and the post-game celebration from Sunday at Miller Park.

First pitch: As stated, Brewers radio announcer Bob Uecker will throw out the first pitch. The joke in the press box is that CC Sabathia should throw out the first pitch, just to guarantee that Brewers fans can cheer for him one more time before he heads into free agency. Sabathia, the losing pitcher in Game 2, is slated to start Game 5 (if necessary) on Tuesday in Philadelphia.

All in the family: Brewers principal owner Mark Attanasio's father, Joseph, will sing the National Anthem.

FanZone hours: The Brewers' FanZone will open at 3 p.m. and will be open throughout the game. The store will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., then from 1-3:30 p.m. for fans with tickets to the game.

Sunday: If necessary, Game 4 is slated to begin at 12:07 p.m. That would put the Brewers directly against the Packers-Falcons game.

Trade complete: The Brewers and Indians completed the Sabathia trade Friday when Milwaukee shipped outfield prospect Michael Brantley to the Indians.

When the Brewers acquired Sabathia in early July, they sent top slugging prospect Matt LaPorta, minor league pitchers Zach Jackson and Rob Bryson and "a player to be named."

The Indians were given a list of minor league propects to choose from, including Brantley and third baseman Taylor Green. Because the Brewers made the playoffs, Cleveland wa s permitted to choose the player.

Brantley, 21, is the son of former big league Mickey Brantley. He played this season at Class AA Huntsville, where he hit .319 with 17 doubles, two triples, four homers and 40 RBI, with 28 stolen bases in 36 attempts.
