What is a blog? For us it is a short blurb that we write when the mood strikes us. It can be first person, funny or informative. In short, a blog is whatever we want it to be. Published May 4, 2007 at 10:14 a.m.

Don't get me wrong, I have major Brewers fever. But, unlike many Wisconsin sports fans, I truly don't care about the Packers until they hit the regular season field.

I am, though, enthralled with the NBA playoffs - easily the best and most entertaining post season hunt in all sport. The Mavericks/Warriors (why, by the way, can the NBA use "Warriors"?) series was classic. It was riveting television, and if you missed it you missed one of, if not the biggest, upsets in NBA history. For you non-fans, the Warrior's Stephen Jackson made a franchise playoff-record seven 3-pointers as Golden State became the first No. 8 seed to beat a No. 1 seed in an NBA playoff best-of-seven playoff series.

I was cheering hard for Mark Cuban's Mavs. I like the guy and admire the spark and attitude he has infused into his NBA city and team. But, at half time last night, even with his team only down by 2, you could tell the Mavs were heading for a loss. Oh well, my life goes on and the Mavs will be back next season. But, hats off to former Bucks coach and current Warriors head Don Nelson. He handed it to the Mavs and proved his place in NBA history.

The buzz and juice following in Oakland, for the Warriors, reminded me of the Bucks 2001 run in the NBA Playoffs. There's nothing like NBA playoff frenzy and only during the playoffs do you truly see the best athletes in the world showcase their skills at the great game of basketball.

Not a NBA fan, you say? I challenge you to watch the rest of the playoffs. The Bulls/Pistons clash will be big time fun and with LeBron, Nash, Wallace and other super stars still in the hunt we are sure to see another 6-7 weeks of amazing basketball.
