I get the NFL Network, but I wish I didn't.

Saturday night.

Brett Favre.

In a JETS UNIFORM!

The way he licks his fingers. The way he unsnaps his chinstrap between plays, finally snapping it as he steps in behind center.

In a JETS UNIFORM!

Completing passes. Throwing for a touchdown.

In a JETS UNIFORM!

Smiling that country boy smile. Running on and off the field with that peculiar little lope.

In a JETS UNIFORM!

After cleaning up the mess I made on my living room couch, I watched Aaron Rodgers. They call him A-Rod.

Mike McCarthy is going to tell us everything is going to be fine. The reporters and announcers will all go along and say A-Rod just needs a little time.

But, I'll tell you what I saw.

Late in the first half. Third and four in their own territory. A-Rod scrambles to his right. A cornerback and linebacker head toward him. And A-Rod runs out of bounds, short of the first down mark by a yard.

There are only two possibilities. Either he's so stupid he didn't know where the first down marker was located. Or he's chicken. One of the two.

Oh, and one more thing. Even watching on television, I could tell where A-Rod was going to throw the ball. He looks at one receiver and then keeps looking until he throws it.

Maybe Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy will be proved right. But until the proof is in, I'm going to keep watching the NFL Network and Brett Favre.

IN A DAMN JETS UNIFORM!!!!!

I think Packer Fans should brace themselves for a sub par season. They certainly wont be 10-3 this season. Rogers isnt looking good. the Offensive line isnt looking good either. Thats a bad combination. No protection and a QB with no experience. Also no real back up QB. Yikes.

I think Thompson and McCarthy should be looking to add a veteran quarterback to the roster just in case Rodgers keeps taking those backside hits. He hasn't proven himself to be the most durable guy out there. I realize he hasn't played much, but he needs to have more awareness out there. I say they pick up someone like a Brad Johnson; someone who isn't going to be explosive but can step in, manage a game and not turn the ball over. In regards to Favre in a Jets uniform: I say more power to him. If he's happy, then I'm happy for him. He's going to realize this year if he should have stayed retired because (1) I don't think those New Jersey/New York fans are going to be as forgiving as the Green Bay faithful if he starts throwing picks and, (2) he might take a wicked hit that puts him out of football for good. Not that I wish that on him, but I think Brett has as much to prove as Rodgers.

you are the only one who calls him A-rod. the only one, and i know you cannot see rodgers eyes when he plays so you were relying on what those amateurs last night were telling you. in a playoff game, maybe 3 years ago i saw your beloved favre flip the ball nonchalantly into the endzone to nobody on 4th down, insteading of going airborne ala Elway. would you call that stupid or chicken? keep in mind that was a playoff game with everything on the line, not a meaningless preseason game. and would you want your starter hurt in preseason, d-beg? would you want him hurt going for that first down in a MEANINGLESS game? because any coach that wants that may not be chicken but they sure would be...well...tell you what d-beg, i'll let you step out of bounds on this one rather than take the hit.
