Favre will play again. From what I get from the newspapers and various Web sites, it sounds like Favre doesn't have any strong passions, hobbies or interests that aren't football related. It appears that he watches a lot of television, plays a little golf, and chills at his house. That sort of lifestyle gets boring rather quickly. So boredom, combined with the addictive nature of fame and the limelight, make for all the right ingredients for Favre's return. Hey, he's only human -- he isn't the first to feel the effects of this addiction, and he won't be the last. I mean imagine going from being "Da Man," "No. 1," "Brett Favre," the cheers, the fans, the worshipping, to sitting at home watching television as one of your main highlights -- especially when you're thinking to yourself that you still have fuel in the tank. It would be hard to stay away from the game. Too bad; it would have been truly special to remember him going out the way he did all those months ago.
