I'm a huge Bucks fan, season ticket holder and loyalist to the end. And, I must say I'm excited about this off-season. Yet, ironically, isn't this one of the NBA's problems? Too often the off seasons are more exciting than the regular season. I digress.
Many are reporting today that the Bucks have traded Malik Allen to Denver for Walter Sharpe and Sonny Weems. As Dime puts it, "Earlier today, the Bucks got even more athletic, trading veteran PF Malik Allen to Denver for young PF Walter Sharpe and high-flying wing Sonny Weems, who won the NCAA dunk contest a couple years back. Weems was one of the underrated standouts of the Vegas Summer League (16.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg), and if he happens to crack the Bucks rotation, will be a threat in a transition game."
Speaking of Dime, the basketball zine drops a great column today titled "The NBA's next must-watch team ... The Bucks?" That's right. National love for the Bucks.
