The Milwaukee Bucks busy off-season continues today with a report from ESPN's Marc Stein that the Toronto Raptors will send Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic to Milwaukee in exchange for Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems. Johnson and Weems have yet to play a regular season game in a Bucks uniform since booth were acquired this summer.
According to Stein, one source said "the deal could not be finalized before Tuesday because Delfino must fly from Argentina to formally sign the contract, which is expected to be a three-year deal, with the Bucks holding a team option in Year 3."
Delfino, 26, played in Russia last season and should give the Bucks another solid scoring option. Roko, 24, was born in Croatia and could be a back up point guard.
Delfino and Roko would add to the Bucks' healthy world view roster that already includes Australian Andrew Bogut, Dan Gadzuric and Francisco Elson who were born in the Netherlands, Taiwan-born Joe Alexander and Cameroon's Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. Ersan Ilyasova, from Turkey, also will rejoin the team this season.

Are you the "casual" or "joe blow" bucks fan you are referring to, cause I dont consider myself either of teh above. You are the one using the analogy of Stackhouse/Rip in their prime with the trade made today...are you kidding me??? Listen, I understand that he walked into a mess and there are moves that will make you scratch your head(ie.trading RJ and getting nothing back for salary cap relief), but need to be done to turn things around. With that being said, i dont like this trade, my opinion!! Lastly, iyou speak of cutting salary, but didnt we just commit 3 years to this scrub. That doesnt sound like relief to me man!

John Hammond from day 1 said he was going to make unpopular moves the casual fan may not understand. He has some scope for a pretty broad picture and plan about constructing a team within the cap (and subsequent decreasing cap numbers over next 2 seasons NBA-wide.) When Jerry Stackhouse was sent out of Detroit fro Rip Hamilton, people pitched a fit, and swapping Grant Hill for Ben Wallace and chucky Atkins made so many Detroit fans angry at the time. ....then they competed for titles in a pretty strong 4 to 6 year window as an elite NBA squad. Let the guy work, he knows what he's doing. It's not a video game, and the armchair QB perceptions of where they are headed are hard to digest, because every joe blow Bucks fan is not privy to the interior architecture and many moving parts that Hammond is administering.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Trade hammonds!!! Just when you think the Bucks will be, if anything, exciting to watch this season they make a bone head trade like this. Up till now, ive liked the moves he has made, but now im getting tired of him trading for ex piston scrubs, and believe me, this guy is one of them. AJ seemed to have a lot of upside and that must have been why we needed to get rid of him! This sucks!!!
