What is a blog? For us it is a short blurb that we write when the mood strikes us. It can be first person, funny or informative. In short, a blog is whatever we want it to be. Published Aug. 4, 2009 at 3:49 p.m.

For me, the NBA season can't come soon enough. So, today's schedule release is music to my ears.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics launch the 2009-10 NBA season on Oct. 27. It's Shaq's debut with the Cavs. The Cavs battle the Lakers on Christmas again this season, too.

The Bucks open the home portion of their 42nd NBA season on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m. against Central Division rivals, Detroit. The Pistons feature former Bucks tweeter Charlie Villanueva, along with stars Tayshaun Prince, Ben Gordon and Rip Hamilton

The home opener is the first of 22 weekend home games on the schedule. The Bucks have won five of their last six home openers but start the season on the road at Philadelphia on Friday, Oct. 30.

We'll get a good, early look at the Bucks as they have a season-high, six-game homestand that runs from Nov. 7 to 20 and brings New York, Denver, Golden State, Dallas, New Jersey and Charlotte to town.

Eastern Conference Champion Orlando Magic make their lone visit of the season during Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday, Nov. 28, while the NBA Champion Lakers come to town on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Shaq, LeBron James. Mo Williams and the Cleveland Cavaliers are in Milwaukee on Sunday, Dec. 6 (2 p.m.) and Saturday, March 6.

Milwaukee will host two long home stands in March. The first is a four-game set from March 6-14 featuring Cleveland, Boston, Utah and Indiana. The second home stand is the second longest of the season at five games. Atlanta, Philadelphia, Miami, Memphis and the L.A. Clippers will all visit the Bradley Center in that string.

Once again this season, weekday home games will start at 7 p.m. and all but one of the Friday / Saturday games will start at 7:30 p.m. The Saturday, Nov. 28 Magic-Bucks home game begins at 8 p.m. Milwaukee's three Sunday home games will be played on Dec. 6 vs. Cleveland at 2 p.m., March 14 vs. Indiana at 12 p.m. and March 28 vs. Memphis at 2 p.m.

I do watch ever year because there is nothing else to do that time of the year. In the last 15 years I have attended over 200 games, mostly for free, because I used to work near the B.C. So I am hardly bandwagon. So let us be honest here. The Bucks and the NBA are an awful product and it is way over priced, and please do not mention the stupid Pepsi seats up where the bats live as an example of what a deal it is. Those suck and I would rather stay home and watch on T.V. I am unsure how Milwaukee bought a guy from LA a stadium seeing that it opened in 2001 and he got them in 2005. And any grown man walking around in Basketball jersey is in need of some serious help. But if you are excited to spend your hard earned cash on pure garbage have fun. Every thing on the Internet has the Bucks being among the worst teams next year just like the last eight seasons and most of the '90's.

Positivity baby! C'mon. How do you feel as a Brewer fan putting up 3 million tickets in sales and buying a guy from LA a Stadium and then the team does nothing to compete or improve. Pencil in those dates. Why do the Bucks get a bad rap??? John Hammond just finished year one! and we are quickly getting rid of Harris-era money problems plus putting a young exciting team on the floor. February 3rd, 2010. I just penciled that in as the date you jump on the bandwagon and buy a Jennings jersey walking aroung about how you love the Bucks and called it back in August that they would be good.

Go Bucks. I am excited to see some young talent on the floor this year. Hopeful that Jennings will be a stud.
