@ShawnBGP Good, but not going out of my way for more. Feel like most collaborations are more fun for brewers (or marketers) than consumers.

Here are a couple of Milwaukee-infused All-Star Game tidbits from the notebook of Brewers historian Mario Ziino:

  • Brewers' position players are hitting .151 (8-52 w/ 3 RBI) in the All-Star Game.
  • The last Brewers position player to get a hit in theAll-Star Game was Jeromy Burnitz, who doubled and scored a run in 1999. It's the only extra base hit by a Brewers player.
  • Carlos Lee (2005), Richie Sexson (2002 & '03), Jeromy Burnitz, (1999) and Greg Vaughn (1996) are the only Brewers to participate in the Home Run Derby.
  • Carlos Lee's RBI in the 2005 Classic was the first since Robin Yount drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in 1983.
  • Jeromy Burnitz (1999) was the last Brewers player to start an All-Star Game.
  • The last time the Brewers had more than two players in the All-Star Game dates to 1983 when a club-matching four Brewers (Cecil Cooper, Ben Oglivie, Ted Simmons & Robin Yount) represented the club. Brewers also had 4 players in 1982 and 1980.
  • Since joining the National League in 1998, the Brewers are 0-7-1 in All-Star Games and have been on one winning team over the last 12 contests (1-10-1).
  • The last Brewers player on a winning all-star team was Jeff Cirillo in 1997 when the American League defeated the National League, 3-1, at Cleveland's Jacobs Field.
  • Overall, teams including Brewers all-stars are 10-25-1 in the Midsummer Classic.
