Brewers leftfielder Ryan Braun celebrates an anniversary today, but his legion of young, female fans shouldn't get discouraged.

Braun isn't married, but it was one year ago today that Braun made his major-league debut for the Brewers against San Diego.

Braun isn't in the Brewers' starting lineup today in Washington. He has a slight head cold and manager Ned Yost wanted to give him a day off, anyway.

Since joining the Brewers on May 25 last year, Braun has played in 161 games, one shy of a full big-league season, and has compiled some impressive numbers. He is hitting .311 with 47 homers and 134 RBI. He has 204 hits, 40 doubles and 16 stolen bases. His on-base percentage is .353 and his slugging percentage is .612.

Since his debut with the Brewers, Braun ranks first in the major leagues in total bases (401) and extra-base hits (95). He is second in homers (47) and RBI (134), third in slugging (.512), sixth in runs (116) and hits (204) and ninth in on-base plus slugging (.965).

Oh, and he also signed a seven-year contract extension worth a guaranteed $45 million.
