I was at the restaurant in January with some women before a show. The food was very good, but a couple of the menu items were not available and this was at 6pm on a Saturday night. The menu is small, but it offers entrees that include beef medallions, wild mushroom ravioli with smoked guda cheese, chicken breast and a pork dish, as well as some fish and seafood entrees. The dinner salads looked beautiful, enough to 2 to share. The wait staff is not up to speed with other fine dining restaurants in the downtown area. Slow and inattentive. A gift certificate was purchased as a gift, and when I gave it to my son and his girlfriend, they were told at the restaurant that they had to use it all in one visit or forfeit the remaining amount of the gift certificate. This was disappointing, as they went for lunch and didn't order enough food to use the entire amount of the gift certificate. The certificate did not clearly say that the monetary amount of the certificate had to be used in one visit. So if you intend to purchase one, find out the policy before you buy. Gift cards are not available.

I'm lucky enough to work in the Third Ward and regularly take business associates to lunch at Broadway Bistro. They have some great staples and always a couple good specials. People who I take always comment on the exquisite presentation and the ease of getting a table even on a busy day. I recommend the grilled cheese - especially during winter! BB is consistently good. Enjoy!

I've been there for lunch and breakfast during the week. Enjoyed every meal I had. Bakery is huge and tasty as it is big. I had Bluegill !!!!! I love Bluegill! The lunch specials are excellent. The only downside is parking in this area. So I go early. Good Luck I enjoy this place.

So, recently I won a gift certificate to the Broadway Bistro, hadn't been there since it had been La Boulangerie. Well, we went for brunch, late on a Sunday afternoon, what a pleasant surprise! The bistro is cool sitting under the sidewalk like that, and I really liked the way they made spaces for intimate tables with the dividers and such, because it is such a small space. But what I have to comment on is the actual brunch. The food. Seriously, the best brunch I've had in Milwaukee this year. Every ingredient tasted so so so fresh, had brilliant seasoning and was priced perfectly to the amount and presentation of the plate. Wow. My husband and I just kept repeating over and over how tasty everything was. I'm still talking about it today to friends. The asiago hash browns were absolutely fantastic and the omelet, steak and eggs were perfect. Our server was very friendly and cool, and we were served very timely, we really had a great experience. We'll definitely be back to try dinner or lunch, brunch for sure again! Keep up the good work!
