Get ready for 11 days of live music, food and fun at OnMilwaukee.com's "Big Gig ® Summer Kickoff Party" tomorrow night. Get to the Irish Pub, 124 N. Water St., between 4 and 9 p.m. for a slew of drink specials and entertaining events presented by OnMilwaukee.com and Bothday and joined by Newaukee.
Just like Summerfest, tomorrow's "Kickoff Party" is packed with live music, promotional events and refreshing drink specials.
The Zachary Wade Project will be on stage from 5 to 8 p.m. and Jimmy John's hosts a "Competitive Eating Contest" with 10 locals competing for the chance to take on professional contest eaters at Bastille Days in July. Tap pints will be pouring for $3.50 and the Irish spirit will come alive with $2 shots of Jameson.
Plus, to add style to substance, the first 200 people receive a free koozie.
Locals interested in participating in Jimmy John's Eating Contest can e-mail events@jimmyjohns.com for more information.
