Are you more likely to hang at a neighborhood or a lakefront festival?

RiverSplash opens the festival season this weekend, and every weekend from now until the leaves are gone, you can bank on festivals both big and small. From Summerfest to Brady Street Festival, Brew City and surrounding areas offer a wide range of festival fun.

Which type of fest do you prefer, the big gigs or the smaller soirees? Sound-off, Milwaukee, and tell us where we'll find you this summer.

The bigger, the better. I prefer the bigger festivals. There is more to see, hear and eat. Plus, half the fun of going to a summer festival is to feel a part of a big, awesome scene, which is exactly what festivals like Summerfest and State Fair provide. Nobody ever died from a little beer in their shoes, either.

The smaller, the better. Big festival crowds really get me down, and it's difficult and expensive to park at large events. Plus, the smaller festivals like Bastille Days and various church festivals are free and this summer, that really matters to me. The old saying "good things come in small packages" is especially true when it comes to summer festivals.
