Summerfest, which runs from June25 - July 5 on Milwaukee's lakefront, announced its headlining acts for the M&I Classic Rock Stage. The biggest name this year is certainly Elvis Costello, who performs on the festival's final night
The bands playing on the repositioned south-end stage -- which will allow for more capacity and improved traffic flow -- include:
June 25 -- Loverboy, 10 p.m.
June 26 -- Frankie Beverly & Maze, 10 p.m.
June 27 -- Daryl Stuermer, 5:30 p.m and Think Floyd, 10 p.m.
June 28 -- The Outlaws, 9 p.m.
June 29 -- Heart, 9 p.m.
June 30 -- Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, 9:30 p.m.
July 1 -- Foghat, 9 p.m.
July 2 -- Whitesnake, 10 p.m.
July 3 -- Lita Ford, 10 p.m.
July 4 -- Huey Lewis and The News, 10 p.m.
July 5 -- Elvis Costello and The Imposters, 9 p.m.

This is the first time Foghat has ever played Summerfest. Go see them, they are an awesome live band.

Boring. Summerfest gets worse and worse every year! Only band I really want to see is Offspring, and I'm a huge classic rock fan! bleh

Ah, this is the CLASSIC ROCK STAGE, so one can't really complain about the lineup there. The other stages have OK acts but lots of repeats yes I agree don't blame the economy.

summerfest books nearly the same types and quality of acts every year, yet somehow people are acting like this year's crop (similar to last year's, and the year before, and the year before that, etc....), is somehow due to the economy. get real. and i absolutely love how those with questionable musical taste (huey lewis dude?) somehow become musical snobs when summerfest announces the lineup every year. "oh man i LOVE the Fixx, but Men At Work? i gotta draw the line bro-ham. summerfest sucks."
