The Wauwatosa-based Derse, Inc., which manufactures exhibition booths for big name clients like Harley-Davidson, Miller Brewing and Coca-Cola will move to the Menomonee Valley, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett announced.
HSI Development Partners plans to buy land just east of Miller Park in the valley to build a 160,000-sq. ft. facility, which Derse will lease on a long-term basis.
"We're happy to be able to bring these two companies -- one that is well-established in the fabric of our community and the other, a young development firm with an entrepreneurial vision -- to the table to help develop an important area of the city that is undergoing great change," said Barrett in a statement.
"We look forward to working with these companies to bring expanded economic development and family-supporting jobs into the city."
The building, which Derse hopes to occupy by next summer, was designed by Eppstein Uhen Architects. It will allow the company to add 20 new jobs to its current workforce of 140.
A few weeks ago, the Italian company Caleffi moved into its new U.S. headquarters in the Menomonee Valley. That company had previously had its offices in Franklin.
