It's Sunday morning and I just finished watching Mike Gousha's new show on Channel 12, called "Up Front."
If Channel 4 people watched this show, they've got to be kicking themselves because their stupid news operation was enough to drive Gousha away.
This show ought to be must viewing for everybody in Wisconsin.
Just on this edition there were two freshmen legislators who nobody has ever seen on television before discussing the state budget shortfall.
That was followed by a great piece by the talented Mike Anderson on virtual schools with discussion with Jeff Mayers, the Wisconsin Politics czar who has forgotten more about state government than most of us know.
Then we got a satellite interview with Congressman Ron Kind and a short feature on Steve Eichenbaum, the Wisconsin wizard of campaign commercials.
The whole show was handled with grace, humor and intelligence, the trademarks of Gousha. Gousha's show is vastly different than the excellent Sunday Insight with Charlie Sykes which is about the only local show worth anything on Channel 4.
It's a more than welcome addition to Sunday morning.
