"Stories of the Strange" as usual on a Friday. And on this week's "Flashback Friday" Phil plays some radio bloopers from the past. He's not naming names but you may hear some familiar old voices. Phil's laughing so hard at the end of all this that he's choking for air on the show!

And Lips reveals he has cooked with Julia Child in his past. Julia's book is the one Sandy selected for her club to read this month.
"Slushmageddon '09"
December 9, 2009
The biggest snowstorm of the winter kinda missed the headquarters of the PhilCast. However, there was plenty of mess on the ground for Phil to chronicle his morning snow blow. But some people had it lot worse, like Phil's PhilCast intern who took a spin on slick roads.

December 8, 2009
It's a Tuesday Pack Yak on the PhilCast today, complete with a review of not only the Monday Night Football game, but also Phil's little pizza party with "a certain person" at his house. Then Phil almost loses it right in the middle of the show, totally depressed after watching the premier of the new TNT show called "Men of a Certain Age". Does listening to Jingo Jango pull him out of it? You'll have to listen to find out.

Steve Dahl, Tom Kohl, Joe Labarbera all heard on the Friday PhilCast
December 4, 2009
Remember the Bowling Game on Channel 18? Well, there was a time Phil worked with Bowling Game host Tom Kohl at a station in Milwaukee known as WEZW, and that's the focus of Flashback Friday today. "Stories of the Strange" is there for you too. You'll also hear Chicago radio legend Steve Dahl playing a clip from the PhilCast on his DahlCast show. And please simply indulge Phil at the start of the show when he begins to imitate a musical instrument.
Christmas tree shopping; This tree costs what?
December 3, 2009
On Thursday's PhilCast Phil tells the story of Christmas tree shopping on Wednesday. The official PhilCast Christmas Tree is now up in the recording lounge. Did someone say Tiger Woods? Have you heard the great conspiracy theory on this deal yet? Listen and you will. Lips LaBelle is in studio too, where the boys come up with the idea for a 'blow show' as well. And did you know Brett Favre has made Ba-Ba's list?
Cianciola back on the radio
December 2, 2009
That's right, Phil Cianciola was back on the radio for the first time since being fired back in September, making an appearance on the WSSP Sportstalk 1250 airwaves at the station's annual toy drive for Childrens Hospital. You can hear some of that along with an interview with Doug Russell, Phil's former producer who now does the morning show there. Also on today's showgrum, Phil has a rather unique observation about Tiger Woods after playing the infamous voicemail Tiger left for his girlfriend. Then flash back to 1987 and the Brewers' 13-game win streak. Phil plays a clip from TV back then featuring Johnny Brandmeier, one of his radio idols, now also on the sidelines after being fired this week.

Reader Poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
