MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee's only online magazine, OnMilwaukee.com, reported record readership numbers for January 2005. In its largest readership month in the company's six-and-a-half year history, 505,557 people visited the sections of OnMilwaukee.com in January. These readers viewed 2,941,078 pages.

"January is traditionally the 'recover from the holidays' month, but we added several new features including the 'OMC Sunday Sound-Off.' More great content and better ways of connecting to our loyal readers again helped boost our circulation," said Andy Tarnoff, publisher and co-founder.

More people continued to use the site as their source for Milwaukee information, too. OMC asked its readers, "When you want Milwaukee information first, where do you go?" And 73.4 percent said they went online first for Milwaukee information.

Other interesting data regarding OnMilwaukee.com's January readership:

* 74.82 percent went directly to the magazine's site, rather than finding it through a search engine or another site

* Readers spent nearly nine minutes on average for each visit

* On average, more than 85,000 pages each day were viewed

"We are looking forward to more growth in 2005," added Tarnoff. He said OMC plans to add many new editorial features, columnists and more in the coming months.

OnMilwaukee.com is Milwaukee's only daily online magazine and city guide. Daily stories, exclusive content, interviews and buzz make OnMilwaukee.com part of the daily routine. OnMilwaukee.com is the city's oasis featuring Milwaukee's only Weekend Preview, award-winning national columnist Steve Czaban, personal ads, classifieds, movie tickets, rss feeds and an event calendar that is second to none.
