Talkback: UWM's campus tug of war

No question is should expand downtown. College students, especially the party kind (wiat, thats all of them); want to be in an area where stuff is "happening". This usually means an urban area, not a hike down the highway to some flat lands. Granted, as a UWM alum, I was part of the commuter student base, but I would stay around campus to enjoy what it had to offer way past my classes. I doubt any other student wants to jump on another bus, or drive a car west to ANOTHER seperated campus. Keep it in the City of Milwaukee where it belongs; expand the urban area, convert the old buildings into something great. Look at what has been done with the Peck School of the Arts building on Prospect! (is that open yet?) it looks great.
