Talkback: Is it a reach to say the Ewing lottery was fixed?

Don't forget that this was the first draft lottery. Stern invented the whole thing just so the Knicks could have a "shot" at him (then rigged the thing). The frozen envelope is a long-held theory, and that very well might have played a part in it too to help Stern pick the right one, but the most telling thing for me is the way they are placed into the bin, with the Knicks' envelope being clanged into the side like that. Also notice how the envelopes really don't even "shuffle" went being shuffled. They basically stay in the same order the entire time, falling back on top of each other.
And this year's lottery... Big market Chicago has a 17/1000 chance to win and against all odds comes away with the top pick. Fishy. I actually called this one before it happened.
