I've had the blonde and the wheat and quite frankly they tasted like the same beer to me.
I'm confused by Miller's goal here. Most discriminating beer drinkers who are looking for a good blonde/wheat/amber aren't going to buy a Miller Lite version. Those beer snobs tend to have a disdain for the large brewers, converting them to a Lite Blonde will be difficult at best. So that leaves current Lite drinkers as a target consumer right? Well, there you're only cannibalizing sales of the flagship product. Or worse, you get a Lite drinker to enjoy drinking amber beers and that drinker leaves Miller completely for a better tasting amber beer.
