I'm glad the Landmark Lanes at least made the Top 5. Yeah, it's not as cool looking as Paddy's or Vitucci's or The Eastsider or some of the others that made the list.

It doesn't have the trendy vibe of Cush or Live on North either.

But I'll be d*mned if whenever I leave the Landmark I haven't had a great time. I don't know what it is about the place: it's smelly as hell, the decor hasn't been changed for probably decades, there's no corner tap charm to it -- but I have always had just the best time after a night at the Landmark. Better than Paddy's, better than Hooligan's, better than BBC, better than Vitucci's. Yet I, too, never think to place it on a "best of" list. But through it all, the Landmark carries on.
