Willy Porter + a little estrogen = wonderful new CD
Willy Porter's seventh release officially hits today. It, like many of Porter's discs and songs, captures life. Banshee, McCurdy add music to season's greetings
Banshee Music, a division of New Berlin-based GMR Marketing, has combined with Recycled Paper Greetings to create a line of musical greeting cards. Pat McCurdy, a prolific songwriter, is one of several local musicians involved in creating 20-second ditties for the cards, which are now available at Target. "We're up and running," said Ryan Heuser, Banshee's operations director. "We've got seven cards out right now and more will be in the pipeline for Mother's Day and Father's Day."

If you could choose, would you prefer December or March to stay warm and snowless in Milwaukee?
December. I'm not ready for winter yet.
March. By then, I need winter to be over.
There's no use complaining or hoping for better weather in Wisconsin.
Actually, I like snow.
