"Ninja-style" vandals strike near Farwell and North
A group of about 20 to 30 vandals, dressed in black and wearing masks, committed multiple acts of vandalism just after 11 p.m. last night. The group, which some witnesses described as "looking like ninjas," damaged the windows of several businesses and vehicles near the East Side intersection of Farwell and North Avenues, threw barricades into the street and set off smoke bombs.

Taggers assault Sanford
The Pleasant Street facade of Sanford, one of Gourmet magazine's top 50 American restaurants, 1547 N. Jackson St., was hit by vandals overnight.
