The standings and schedule may indicate that the Brewers still have a chance for a playoff berth. The reality is that they've blown it by losing a boatload of games in September. Jeff Suppan's hideous outing Friday night in Cincinnati may have been the final straw.

It's not me, it's you. That's the unmistakable message Brett Favre has sent to the Packers. The time to deny it is over. At some point after last year's painful loss in the NFC Championship game, Favre decided in his own mind that he was simply done being a Packer.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported today that the Green Bay legend wants to play another season and will seek employment elsewhere. The Packers in turn vowed 'to do what's right and in the best interest of the team."
