Milwaukee's best use of local food, 2009: Roots
Roots Restaurant and Cellar was one of Milwaukee's first dining destinations to actively pursue the use of local ingredients. Using only naturally raised meats and fresh seafood from the start, they've evolved to mainly use produce grown in Wisconsin, too.

Budding Artists' show builds confidence, community
For the fourth year in a row, the Riverwest Co-op Grocery & Café, 733 E. Clarke St., hosts the Budding Artists' Show. The collection features the art work of 15 neighborhood children and runs through the month of May in the café section of the co-op.

Sunday Sound-off: Enough vegetarian restaurants?
Most restaurants have vegetarian options on their menu. At the very least, a chef will whip up a meatless pasta dish to appease a vegetarian, but are there enough restaurants in Milwaukee that specialize in meat-free cuisine? Sound-off, vegetarian diners!
