Wolski's celebrates a century in Milwaukee
Wolski's Tavern opened at 1836 N. Pulaski St. in 1908, making 2008 the 100th anniversary of this Milwaukee drinking institution. Co-owner Dennis Bondar and his brothers have a big birthday bash planned for this Sunday, Sept. 21, at Lakefront Brewery, 1872 N. Commerce St. The party starts at 2 p.m.; be there!

OMC's cheese sculpting event raises a hunk of dough
Armed with power tools, hand torches and carving implements of all kinds, 10 artists turned large blocks of cheese into impressive sculptures at OMC's "Cuttin' The Cheese For Charity." The event raised almost $1,200 for America's Second Harvest.
