Pure calls it quits -- for good
A weekend shooting seems to have been the last straw for Pure, 162 W. Wisconsin Ave. Westown Association executive director Ellen Winters received a call today from Marv Berg, the owner of the downtown nightclub Pure, saying he was calling it quits.

Pure loses liquor license
Pure, 162 W. Wisconsin Ave., a downtown nightclub that opened to rave reviews and a bit of controversy in 2002 had its liquor license suspended for 75 days on Tuesday at the Utilities and Licenses Committee.
