Road trip: An unexpected detour in Manitowoc
A stop at the historic Penguin Drive-In -- a staple in Manitowoc since the 1930s -- prompted the author to explore more of what the city has to offer, including a very cool maritime museum, a quaint downtown area filled with interesting shops and a pristine shoreline that is perfect for hiking, biking, jogging or daydreaming during a picnic.
