Saturday Scorecard: "Introducing Mr. Hoffman..."
More than 10,000 Brewers fans braved frigid temperatures and headed Downtown to attend the club's "On Deck" event Saturday at the Midwest Airlines Center. One of the highlights of the event, which included autographs, photos and clinics, was an introductory press conference by the team's new closer, Trevor Hoffman, who donned his new jersey and spoke at length about his new team, his leadership abilities and his theme song.

Brewers, Fielder nearing a two-year, $18 million deal
It appears that the Brewers will have positive news to announce during their "Winter Warmup / On Deck" celebration this weekend. Reports this afternoon indicate that the club has reached an agreement with first baseman Prince Fielder on a two-year, $18 million deal that will become official when Fielder passes a physical.

Saturday Scorecard: Do fans appreciate this man?
Michael Redd has been a popular and productive player for the Bucks. He's been an all-star and an Olympic gold medalist. Ask yourself this, Bucks fans: If the team trades Redd in the coming weeks, would you be hurt or angry? There seems to be something missing in the bond between Redd and the fans. He's one of the more anonymous superstars in the state.
