Beyond Milwaukee: Westby celebrates Norse heritage
Norwegians came to Wisconsin in droves and settled throughout the state. Their influence can be seen in many parts of Wisconsin. If you are of Norwegian descent, or just want to have fun saying Uff Da for a weekend, the Syttende Mai festivals May 16-18 offer a great opportunity.

Reader poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
