Green Bay Replay: Packers 27, Ravens 14
The wind was blowing and the penalty flags were flying during "Monday Night Football" at Lambeau Field. The Packers and Ravens combined for 23 penalties and seven turnovers as the Packers improved to 8-4 and moved a step closer to securing a playoff berth.

At 4-4, the Packers are far from out of playoff competition. But at the same time, Green Bay is far from being a legitimate contender. There's plenty of reasons and plenty of blame to go around, but ultimately, the root of the problems can be found on the sideline and inside the big, corner office at 1265 Lombardi Ave.

When the Packers opened their 2009 training camp, there sure were a lot of questions. Now, with just hours before the season opener against the Bears at Lambeau Field, many think that a trip to Miami for Super Bowl XLIV is a very realistic probability. Funny what a 3-1 preseason can do for experts and oddsmakers.

It was hard to believe that the Bears were the team fighting for their playoff lives and the Packers had already been eliminated from the postseason hunt. Green Bay dominated its bitter rival for most of the game, but once again -- thanks to lackluster special-teams play -- was left scratching its head after another victory slipped away.
