Brewers Notebook: Cameron off to fast start
When the Brewers exercised the $10 million option on centerfielder Mike Cameron last winter, many wondered if it was a ploy to keep close friend CC Sabathia in Milwaukee, the first step towards a possible trade or just a bad, bad move on the part of General Manager Doug Melvin. With Cameron leading the team in hitting so far, the decision looks like a smart one.

Mike Cameron hit a pair of home runs and the Brewers' offense sprung to life with five runs on four extra-base hits in the sixth inning as Milwaukee rolled to a 9-3 victory over Cincinnati Wednesday night at Miller Park.
