Local filmmaker finds thrill in new suspense short
After spending a year out in L.A., local film producer Joshua Maxim Hall has returned to his hometown, bringing with him some momentum for movie-making in Milwaukee. One of Hall's current projects brings him and his film crew to the Eastsider, 1732 E. North Ave., on Saturday, Nov. 8 for shooting.

Muraco showcases famous cheeseheads in "Wisconsin Born & Bred"
Filmmaker Jim Muraco bought a book at Goodwill that inspired him to create "Wisconsin Born & Bred," which interviews famous state ex-pats including Daniel J. Travanti. It will air on PBS later this month.

Mark Metcalf is most famous for his roles in "Animal House" and "Seinfeld," but he recently finished "Wishtaker," an independent film made in Milwaukee that may be headed for the Sundance Film Festival.
