Northern Room gets comfy at Hi-Hat Garage
Although astute music fans remember such famous residencies as those of the Beatles at Liverpool's Cavern Club and The Jam's at London's Red Cow, the practice hasn't been popular among rock and roll bands in recent years. Now, Milwaukee's Northern Room is giving it a whirl.

Hawley hopes Love, On The Beat! sparks club scene
Love, On The Beat! That's the alluring name of the new DJ night launched by Codebreaker mastermind Steven Hawley at the Hi-Hat Garage. The spin takes place every Wednesday and Hawley jacks up everything, including, in his words, "Electro, nu Italo, disco, house pop, future pop, punk funk, new wave, micro, space funk, electro funk!"
