"Slumdog" cleans up nicely at Golden Globes bash
Amid the $5,000 tuxedos, $50,000 evening gowns and $200,000 necklaces at the Golden Globes awards show Sunday night, a simple rags-to-riches movie about a poor kid in India looking for love and reality-show success dominated the awards. "Slumdog Millionaire" won four awards, including best drama, best director, best screenplay and best musical score. If you haven't seen "Slumdog" yet and plan to do so before the Academy Awards air on Feb. 22, expect a more crowded theater when you go.
