Brewers' Powell, Anderson applaud Kubek selection
The announcement that Milwaukee native Tony Kubek won the Ford C. Frick Award for contributions to baseball broadcasting was very well received by a pair of current Milwaukee baseball broadcasters -- Brewers radio announcer Jim Powell and his TV counterpart, Brian Anderson.

Milwaukee native Kubek gets Hall of Fame nod
Tony Kubek, the Bay View High School grad who was an all-star shortstop with the Yankees in the late 1950s and early '60s and an even better TV announcer, won the Ford C. Frick Award and will enter the broadcasting wing of the Hall of Fame.
