Milwaukee Talks: The city's "tree guy," Preston Cole
While the former city forester does worry about trees, Milwaukee's Environmental Services Superintendent Preston Cole has a bigger job now. Five years ago, the city merged its forestry and sanitation divisions, and he now oversees 650 employees.

Emerald Ash Borer: the coast is clear so far
So far 41 trees were felled in Brown County and 23 were peeled. In Dane 18 were felled and four peeled, and in Kenosha 10 of the 21 felled were peeled. There was no evidence of the borer found in any of the trees.
