Rumors of Avalon Theater sale abound ... again
Rumors say the Avalon Theater, which has been a centerpiece of Bay View's renewal hopes for a number of years, is being sold to an investor who plans to lease the theater to Landmark and retail space to Schwartz Bookshops.

Hope flickers at Bay View's atmospheric Avalon
There still may be a twinkle of hope in those stars on the ceiling of the historic Avalon Theatre in Bay View. At least that's what residents and business owners of this friendly South Side community are wishing for.
