Happy 32nd birthday, MACC Fund
Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, known throughout the area as the MACC Fund, turns 32 today. Founded in 1976 by Bucks legends Jon McGlocklin and Eddie Doucette, the MACC Fund has mobilized thousands of volunteers and raised $33 million in support of cancer research and has helped the overall cure rate for childhood cancer rise from 20 percent in the mid-1970s to its current rate of 80 percent.
