Although Wisconsin passed the smoking ban in 2009, e-cigarettes were not included in the legalese, and consequently, vaping in public places remains lawful and has become increasingly popular in bars. People are divided on the issue and, due to a lack of information, are often uncertain about whether or not there are risks.

Hartland's Johnson Creek Enterprises, which makes Johnson Creek Smoke Juice, has quietly grown to an $8 million business and is expanding rapidly.
