With apologies to Nick Hornby, I'm not much of a list-maker anymore. Sure, I was the music geek kid with a list -- and a ready-made mix tape -- for every eventuality, but now I love music more than I enjoy trying to quantify it.

In life, it was tragic that Edie Sedgwick was so blinded by the radiant Warhol and his orbiting planets that she hurled herself into a black hole she mistook for a glorious universe. In the cinema it’s similarly tragic that such a sizzling star gets such a fizzling film.

Petty packs punch with feel-good favorites
Opening with "Listen to Her Heart," Tom Petty immediately proved there was no lollygagging to be had, and rock and roll was his only concern. Petty, along with opening band The Black Crowes, played the Main Stage on July 1.
